Just looking at your list of covers, have you heard the Senor Coconut album of Kraftwerk covers performed as Latin salsa songs. Absolutely brilliant. Personally I'm not a big fan of Neon Lights (your fave I see) but I do love their version, so maybe you'll hate it! Same people released a cover of Yellow Magic Orchestra's The Mask last summer, also vgood (better than the Clapton version, which is still pretty good nonetheless. All their stuff I've heard is pretty quirky, well worth checking for a giggle! Great site you've got too, nice one! Big fan since about 79, fave era is 81 and saw them in liverpool 81, best gig I've ever been to. I did a similar best of as you, 2 discs but I had Hall of Mirrors in. I must admit I cannot stand the whole of the mix album, being honest I didn't give it a chance. I just don't like anything from 81 and earlier being messed about with. Maybe I will get into it one day. Thanks for your site, I've enjoyed browsing it. Hope you are okay and keep up the good werk. Ralf and Florian should be presented with a life time musical achievement award for their combined efforts and contributions to the music industry over the years. I heard it a couple of weeks ago on the radio here in Switzerland but my wife was bloody talking as usual and I missed the name of the band. Just let me know by mail or check www.marktplaats.nl Search (in Dutch 'vind'): Kraftwerk Check out: KiLiJaAN There is also a picture of the record on this site. Who am I? Hello, I am Kilijaan, a 24 years old Dutch guy who lives between the cities Liege (B) and Maastricht (NL) in Belgium. I started seriously to collect vinyl (only) of Kraftwerk in December 2004 (I started so late, because of pingping).Nowadays I am the proud owner of about 125 records. My first tunes of Kraftwerk I heard when I was a little boy and moved like a robot together with my sister and brother through the livingroom on the bleeps of The Man Machine album in the middle of the '80. I saw Kraftwerk live @ work twice. First time in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam (NL) 2004 and the second time @ the festival Rock Werchter (B) 2005. Always the same question is waving through my head, when I see die Herren auf die Buhne. "Ist es die Mensch oder die Machine?" John, really great site you have. Respect!!!! Cheers - and people, come visit my site - MATTWERK - the BEST South African Kraftwerk site. Okay... the ONLY South African Kraftwerk site... Every album costs only rd. USD1.80 !!! I have some original albums (Computerwelt, Expo2000, Tour de Fr.2003). But the original old versions are expensive for me. The Kraftwerk1-Album costs only USD1.86 (320kbps) and is a good way to bridge the time when i can buy an original. P.S. i dont get money from the mp3-portal.
