Biography of the Site Owner

My AvatarMy name is John Shilcock. I live in the UK (just outside London). I'm 46 and I have been a fan of KRAFTWERK since about 1978. My brother, Mark, used to keep playing a record over and over again (this of course must have brain washed me). After a while I was told that this was 'Autobahn' by a German group called KRAFTWERK. Then KRAFTWERK released an LP called 'The Man Machine'. This got me hooked and ever since then I have been a great fan and what's more KRAFTWERK are the sole cause of my sole 'oddity' (though many who know me, including my wife and daughter, say I have several :o) in that I also collect KRAFTWERK items. I just love vinyl (not so much CD's) so getting my hands on a nice rare KRAFTWERK piece of vinyl is like... well it's like a couple of pints... nice!

Since 1978 I have accumulated several hundred items, more than 1000 items of recorded material actually. Add on top of that over 300 recordings of concerts (of various quality as is the norm) and a splattering of 'other' KRAFTWERK related items make it quite a good sized collection (well I'm proud of it!). I have posted my collection on these pages for you to look over at you leisure. My Avatar

I am pleased to say that I have seen KRAFTWERK perform on several occasions. July 1981 saw me, and brother Mark, in the seventh row of the (then) Hammersmith Odeon on both the occasions they performed there. Again in the early 1990's I saw them perform several times. More recently I saw them again peform in 2004.

Did you know you can do some cool things on web pages. For example: Try clicking and draging one of the pictures. Then try it with the paragraphs.
